Sometimes I sew things

But I do not like to drape

Sometimes being bad at math is good, because when it comes to sewing, I always buy a shit ton more fabric than I actually need (haggling is a trait I have very recently acquired from my mother, so pricey it is not)… but if I screw up it’s fantastic because, look I have a lot left. Also. For my current sewing project, I thought I was going to need a shit ton more fabric.. but I have so much left over from past projects that I only need a sateen-y light gray. IT’S ALL I NEED.

..and I’m assuming I’m just going to buy orange dye for my muslin because I’ve had no luck finding the orange I need. orz

Yeah okay, shutting up and going to bed. : x

Q:Sorry to bother you, but is Parsons a good school for Fine Arts? I found you in the Parsons tag, but I don't know your major and I'm interested in your opinion on it as I'm applying there this year.

I’m not particularly sure how the Fine Arts department is, but I think every school, including Parsons, is whatever you make of it.

Parsons seems to be very design-orientated as much as an art school possibly can be, so make of that what you will!

Sorry for not being very helpful, but uh, the department head for Fine Arts seemed like a pretty enthusiastic and intense guy, so I’m assuming he doesn’t allow Fine Arts to be wishy-washy or anything like that..?

The Parsons tag actually makes me want to laugh and cry at the same time.

Like, so many people are “YAY MY DREAM SCHOOL, CAN’T WAIT” ..and that was exactly where I was a year ago.

Right now, juuuuuust no.

On the outside looking in, it looks pretty “fabulous” or whatever, but honestly.. there are much better schools.

Not that I don’t like Parsons or that it isn’t good enough, I mean, I’m not even in my major yet.. but I guess I should have thought about what school I went to more closely?

Granted, Parsons was the only one I could realistically see myself going to.

Welp.

Well, officially registered for classes at Parsons today. My roommate & I have the majority of our classes together. I think we should start taking bets on which one of us is gonna kill the other first.

Sooo, basically procrastinating writing a resume for the Work Study I’ll be applying for. Because I seriously have no flipping idea what I’m even supposed to put on it. Everything? Only things relevant to the Work Study? Then there’s the cover letter..haaaah, jokes.

Seriously though, my mother will actually kill me if I don’t get this finished and submit the application.

Just going to sit here and pretend I know what I’m doing. Again.
